Scottish TV
I visited China in 2004 on behalf of Scottish TV to try and gain an understanding of the media market in China and make contact with Chinese Broadcasters.
STV engaged Huili Liu as my consultant and interpreter for the visit.
Before my visit I had several meetings with Huili Liu where I gained an understanding and insight into the very complicated Chinese media market. Huili then arranged my two week schedule which included visits to Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu and Guangzhou and meetings with senior executives at all the major broadcasters. This access was not something which would have happened without her.Huili accompanied me on the visit and acted as my interpreter and guide at all meetings and events. Without her assistance my visit would have been a waste of time.
China is still a difficult country for the west to understand and do business with.
I returned to China for a week a few months later with a film crew to make a documentary on the visit of the Scottish First Minister Jack McConnell.
This trip with a film crew would not have been possible without the knowledge and experience of the country gained through my visit with Huili.
I have no hesitation in recommending her services as a consultant and guide.
